Season’s Summary

Private Practice second season was premiered on October 1, 2008 and the season opener was entitled ‘A Family Thing’. In the beginning of the season, we saw that Addison came to know that Naomi was hiding the practice’s financial problems. At Oceanside Wellness, it was the time to test friendships and reveal secrets. It was very surprising for Violet to know what secret Cooper had been hiding from her. On the other hand, Cooper found himself in the dilemma whether or not to reveal the medical secret to a patient. Meanwhile, someone quitted Oceanside Wellness Group. Following it was the episode ‘Equal and Opposite’. In this episode, we saw Addison and Sam working to bring the practice out of bankruptcy. Violet and Cooper friendship was on the verge. It’s not possible for a couple to conceive a child and the in-depth study of case revealed that the couple is half-sibs. Next episode of season was entitled ‘Nothing to Talk About’ and in this episode, we saw Addison and Kevin relationship heated up and it made Charlotte to lure her to St. Ambrose Hospital. Next episode in row was ‘Past Tense’ in which Sam and Naomi confronted each other over the issue to lead the practice with unexpected results. Addison took care of a girl trying to hide her past meanwhile Cooper had his own issues affecting his professional career.

Then came the episode ‘Let It Go’ in which we saw Violet found it hard to decide whether or not to break the law for a friend. On the other hand, Addison’s actions and decisions placed Oceanside in danger. Next episode in row was ‘Serving Two Masters’. In this episode, Addison was seen treating two pregnant women who had the same husband. Meanwhile, Violet had a war of words with Charlotte about her relationship with Cooper. Dell had someone special in his life. Then was the episode ‘Tempting Faith’. In this episode, we saw that Addison’s brother gave him a surprise visit along with a fellow surgeon and it was an ultimate trouble for her, Sam and Naomi. Meg returned to make it work with Pete. Violet and Dell lost their nerves because of a patient accused of crime. Then was the episode entitled ‘Crime and Punishment’ in which Addison and Charlotte tried their best to save a pregnant woman who’s in coma. A patient is suspected of murdering his wife and the case led Violet to take Kevin’s advice on the issue. Next episode we watched was entitled ‘Know When to Fold’. In this episode, Pacific Wellcare, Charlotte’s rival practice finally started and it was also the beginning of a competition between both the practices. Sam and Pete felt unlucky when they stole one of their patients. Meanwhile, Addison’s patient decided to have a second opinion regarding the case. Dell had idea to create an in-house adoption program. Next episode in row was entitled ‘Worlds Apart’ in which Meg came back to Los Angeles and came to know about the closeness between Pete and Violet. Cooper attended a young boy, stricken with diabetes, who had a very mysterious past. Meanwhile, Charlotte and Pacific Wellcare continued to siphon business away from Oceanside Wellness.

In ‘Contamination’, Naomi pressurized Addison to help Wyatt, the rival practice’s brash doctor, in a case. Next episode in row was entitled ‘Homeward Bound’ in which we saw Violet dating Pete and Sheldon at the same time. While handling the case of a family emergency, Cooper and Charlotte came close to each other. Next episode we watched was entitled ‘Nothing to Fear’. Violet came to know that she’s pregnant but was not sure who the father of the child was. Addison and Wyatt shared a kiss and it made Addison to feel guilty. Charlotte proposed to Cooper and someone asked Pete and Sam to help him die. Then we watch the episode entitled ‘Second Chances’. Addison and Naomi had some issues and the root of the problem was Archer. Violet had to talk Pete and Sheldon about her pregnancy and Cooper tried to help her to do so. Next episode in row was entitled ‘Acceptance’. Here, we saw that Archer was stricken with a seizure and Addison and Naomi started searching for a cure. Derek was called in to help. Cooper was seen treating a seven year old abandoned patient and Violet told about her pregnancy to Sam and Pete. The episodes of second season of Private Practice, which are still to be aired, are: Ex-Life and Wait and See.

In ‘Ex-Life’, we’d see that Bailey and Naomi trying to find out the reason of Sam’s sudden asthma attack. Meanwhile, Addison would be seen helping Derek to save the life of a pregnant patient. Archer and Naomi relationship would blossom in the next episode ‘Wait and See’.
