Not many of the actors would give nod to a rape scene, but then, there are some that come forward to take up such challenging roles. And KaDee Strickland went many notches ahead as someone who not only backed herself to play a rape victim in Private Practice, but also went on to say that she had never come across such a role in her life!

Eulogizing the role, she admitted that there was an overwhelming confidence in her, when she found that Shonda Rhimes was penning down the rape sequence.

According to the actor, it was her trust on the writer that helped her to materialize the act in such a befitting manner. I am sure KaDee’s statement must have incited her fans to go for Private Practice download, to see another realistic portrayal from the lovely lady.

Talking about her character, Charlotte King, the hottie quipped that there is nothing similar between her reel and real life personality. And it’s only Shonda Rhimes’ creative excellence that she could make herself to fit in the shoes of Charlotte King.

It sounds like KaDee Strickland owes a lot to Shonda! In fact, she openly admitted that the workaholic creator helped her to transform into a better actor.

The 35-year-old actor has appeared in several shows like ‘All My Children’, ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’, and ‘The Wedding Bells’, but I feel that none of her performance could match up with her portrayal of Charlotte King.

Her character would also be seen in season 5 of smash-hit medical drama, and it would be interesting to watch if she could beat her own record of being the most valuable performer.

Whether or not she achieves the goal, I guess that with this one tantalizing sequence of playing a rape victim, she has already created a niche for herself.
